Poetica Victorian's mission is simple: they want to return the beautiful styles of Victorian and classical poetry to the literary world. They hope to inspire new, rising authors to write in these elegant styles and once again see the literary world full of Victorian style poets.
They also hope to get readers to read these poems in the style of Victorian poetry and gain a new, classical geared audience for the new poets of the old style.
They hope to be the journal where "The Old Poetry is New" (our decided slogan).

About Poetica Victorian
Poetica Victorian is a journal of Victorian poetry and classical style poetry. They seek poetry which has the quality, styles, and literary genius of such poets as: Alfred Lord Tennyson, Emily Dickinson, Charlotte Bronte, Rudyard Kipling, Robert Browning, Edgar Allan Poe, and others who wrote their beautiful poems in this style.
Poetica Victorian was founded in 2010 by the editor-in-chief, Brandon Berman, and has grown to include a team of five members working with the magazine. Since then they have actively searched for authors and poets who write in the elegant and enchanting styles of Victorian Poetry. They have spread their message to high school students by sponsoring poetry contests designated for high school students only, in the hopes that the new, younger generation of poets and authors will once again return the styles of classical to Victorian poetry to the literary world.
